Fulfillment and Delivery Are Essential Business
The shelter in place orders implemented by many cities and states require nonessential businesses to close. This shouldn’t affect your supply chain within the United States. Delivery drivers, mail carriers, truck drivers, and warehouse personnel are considered essential and may continue to report to work.
Fulfillment operations are an essential service. If and when business closures are ordered in Knoxville or Salt Lake City, Red Stag Fulfillment expects to keep our warehouses open and operational.
We have created a tool that allows you to see the current status of emergency orders due to the coronavirus. Click on our map to see what each state considers essential business operations.
A Note to Red Stag Fulfillment Clients:
Red Stag Fulfillment’s facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee (Knox County) and Salt Lake City, Utah (Salt Lake County) are both fully operational, with no reported cases of COVID-19 among any employees. We have been monitoring the situation with COVID-19 from the beginning, including creating a COVID-19 Response Team that has been planning and acting accordingly to the ongoing developments of the virus. Our highest priority is the health and safety of our valued team members that service your businesses with passionate dedication and a commitment to Red Stag’s high standards.
We understand the growing concern regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) as it continues to spread within the US and around the world. It is our goal to be the best fulfillment company in the industry, and that includes making sure our clients are kept up to date on how Red Stag Fulfillment is responding to this virus to support you and your business, and mitigate any impact that COVID-19 may have on your supply chain.
What we are doing:
Our existing action plan is premised on robust personal hygiene and clean workplace practices as advised by the US Center for Disease Control (CDC), the National Institute of Health, and the US Food and Drug Administration. We continue to maintain a high standard of cleanliness within our facilities, and have implemented additional measures that include:
- Mandatory hand washing;
- Installation of additional hand sanitizing stations throughout our facilities;
- Higher frequency cleaning of work stations and public areas;
- Mandatory remote work for staff that are not essential for production; and
- Reiteration of our existing safety and health policies.
What you should expect:
This is a dynamic situation that continues to develop, and we will continue to monitor it closely. President Trump declared a national emergency on March 13th, and the Governors of Tennessee and Utah have declared a state of emergency in their respective states, while the Mayor of Salt Lake City has declared a local emergency related to COVID-19.
In light of these developments, we feel it is important to reaffirm our commitment to our clients, employees, and community, and reassure you that we will do everything in our power to continue operating at our normal service levels while providing a safe place to work for our teams. This is an unpredictable situation, so there are certain things that are outside of our control. That said, there is currently no plan to voluntarily shut down our operations or to modify our services or guarantees at this time.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will keep you updated on the latest COVID-19 implications for fulfillment operations. As always, we are thankful for your trust in Red Stag as your fulfillment partner. Please don’t hesitate to contact us directly if you have any questions or concerns.
